Porada takes another step forward in its international growth by obtaining BIS – Bureau of Indian Standards certification, required for the export and sale of the furniture covered by the relevant regulations.

The company is the first Italian furniture manufacturer to achieve this milestone and comply with these new regulations, further strengthening its ability to meet markets needs and cooperate with its partners to operate in their market in compliance with the standards established by the local authorities.

This achievement carries significance that goes beyond regulatory compliance. BIS certification represents an important asset in supporting Porada’s strategic development in India, enabling the company to approach the local market from a stronger position while gaining recognition for a production model built on savoir-faire, supply chain control, material research and a constant commitment to quality.

“Being the first Italian company in the furniture industry to obtain BIS certification represents an important milestone for us, but also a new starting point,” says Tiziano Allievi, Porada’s CEO. “This achievement confirms Porada’s determination to continue growing internationally through tangible investments while keeping centric quality and artisanal expertise, e that have long distinguished our company”.

Obtaining BIS certification is part of our DNA aiming to increase and expande our global presence all over the world. Throughout this journey, the ability to understand the specificity of different countries and meet their technical and regulatory requirements goes hand in hand with the commitment to preserve the identity and values that have defined Porada since 1948.
