Jeño is conceived as the natural evolution of Jelly, reinterpreting its essence; while the original model draws inspiration from the art of glassmaking, Jeño shifts the focus to the purity of the material, enhancing the warmth and authenticity of wood. Entirely crafted in oak, from the central column to the top, Jeño stands out for its solid yet balanced presence, where harmonious proportions interact with the natural grain of the wood. Carlo Ballabio
Seit 2011 ist er Leiter der Produktentwicklung und Designer bei Porada. Er wurde 1967 in Cantù (Como) geboren und studierte in seinen Zwanzigern am IPSIA G. Meroni in Lissone, in der Nähe von Mailand, als Techniker für die Möbel- und Designindustrie.
Im Jahr 1990 erwarb er einen Master-Abschluss in Industriedesign am Instituto Europeo di Design in Mailand. Nach seinem Abschluss arbeitete Ballabio für das Designbüro Paolo Nava und anschließend für Paola Navone als Senior Designer. Im Laufe seiner Karriere entwarf er zahlreiche Produkte, von denen einige auf der Triennale in Mailand ausgestellt wurden. Für Porada entwarf er viele der beliebtesten Produkte, darunter die sehr erfolgreiche Ziggy-Kollektion.
