Milan, November 2019 - Porada Arredi srl, a leading company in the production of furnishing accessories, POLI.design founded by Politecnico di Milano and ADI, the Association for Industrial Design, present the jury of experts who will judge the applications received to decree the winners of PORADA INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD 2019, the new edition of the international competition, focused this year on creation of different types of sideboard and cupboard.
The jury will, therefore, consists of:

An international level jury, that on December 6th 2019 will meet at Villa del Grumello, in Como, to evaluate the 316 applications received from all over the world: 222 professional projects and 94 student projects.
The judges will take into account: their originality, the degree of innovation and pursuit of new design solutions related to the processes typically used for solid wood, experimentation with materials and surface finishes, the capacity of projects to define and anticipate scenarios of use and innovative concepts in the use of wooden furniture and contemporary furnishings, with particular regard to typological, technological and morphological decisions.
The jury will then announce three winners for each of the two categories in competition (Students and Professionals), who will be awarded during an event dedicated to the Salone del Mobile in Milan from April 21st to 26th, 2020.
The total prize of € 10.000 will be allocated as follows:
PROFESSIONAL Category:
1st prize: € 3.000
2nd prize: € 2.000
3rd prize: € 1.000
STUDENT Category:
1st prize: € 2.000
2nd prize: € 1.200
3rd prize: € 800
Porada International Design Award is an annual design competition organized by the Porada Arredi of Cabiate (CO) with POLI.design, founded by the Politecnico di Milano, with the patronage of ADI - Association for Industrial Design.T
he competition, aimed at Italian and foreign designers and creatives (individuals or groups), freelancers or non-professionals, employees of companies and design students, has arrived this year at the 10th edition organized by POLI.design.
