The dining table has always been the focal point of domestic conviviality—a defining element of the space and a place for sharing and connection. The Saddle family interprets this role with a strong sculptural identity, where form and design expression merge to create visually striking pieces. At the heart of Saddle 1 is its solid wood base, meticulously designed to highlight Porada’s expertise in woodworking: organic lines create a balanced interplay of solids and voids, expressing a duality between stability and lightness. The base, crafted from solid Canaletta walnut, originates from a central circular foot that branches upward into three sections supporting a round top available in glass, marble, wood, or Rock. These material variations allow for different aesthetics of the product, from transparent surfaces that enhance the sculptural base to more textured options that emphasize its tactile qualities and character. Saddle 1 thus becomes a central element in living or dining spaces, combining beauty, craftsmanship, and design elegance with versatility across different contexts.

Er absolvierte die E.N.A.D in Limoges und die I.A.V in Orléans und vertiefte seine Kenntnisse an der Universität Politecnico di Milano, wo er einen Master in Design & Management erwarb. Derzeit arbeitet er in seinem eigenen Studio, das im Wesentlichen zwischen Italien und Frankreich pendelt, und eröffnet neue Kooperationen mit hochaktuellen internationalen Marken wie Porada. Eleganz, Klarheit und Einfachheit sind die Schlüsselelemente in Emmanuel Gallinas Arbeit. Sein kreatives Ethos der Authentizität und Konsistenz findet sich in all seinen Entwürfen wieder. Seiner Meinung nach ist die Liebe zum Detail eine ständige Priorität. Emmanuel Gallina wird häufig zu Vorträgen und Workshops in Frankreich, Italien, China und Brasilien eingeladen. Die wichtigsten Werte, die seine Arbeit kennzeichnen, sind Eleganz, Nüchternheit und Schlichtheit.
