Cuna Lounge High represents the evolution of the Cuna executive armchair, reinterpreted for lounge and casual environments. The design draws on the collection’s aesthetic language, inspired by the elegant and timeless lines of 1950s design. Its distinctive feature is the solid Canaletta walnut shell, shaped to create a continuous curved line that naturally embraces the seat and back cushions, establishing a harmonious balance between the structure and upholstery. Compared to the executive version, Cuna Lounge High offers more generous proportions and a deeper seat for enhanced comfort, further supported by ergonomically designed cushions that follow the shell’s silhouette. Comfort is enriched by the flexible fabric headrest with a solid wood counterweight—an element that enhances both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Upholstery is available in fabrics from the collection, allowing for extensive customization while highlighting the product’s tailored craftsmanship. The chair retains the synchronized swivel mechanism characteristic of the collection, ensuring design continuity and versatility across both residential and contract settings.

Er absolvierte die E.N.A.D in Limoges und die I.A.V in Orléans und vertiefte seine Kenntnisse an der Universität Politecnico di Milano, wo er einen Master in Design & Management erwarb. Derzeit arbeitet er in seinem eigenen Studio, das im Wesentlichen zwischen Italien und Frankreich pendelt, und eröffnet neue Kooperationen mit hochaktuellen internationalen Marken wie Porada. Eleganz, Klarheit und Einfachheit sind die Schlüsselelemente in Emmanuel Gallinas Arbeit. Sein kreatives Ethos der Authentizität und Konsistenz findet sich in all seinen Entwürfen wieder. Seiner Meinung nach ist die Liebe zum Detail eine ständige Priorität. Emmanuel Gallina wird häufig zu Vorträgen und Workshops in Frankreich, Italien, China und Brasilien eingeladen. Die wichtigsten Werte, die seine Arbeit kennzeichnen, sind Eleganz, Nüchternheit und Schlichtheit.
Um seine Arbeit als Designer zu beschreiben, zitiert Gallina gerne Constantin Brancusi: “Einfachheit ist aufgelöste Komplexität”.
